Experience
Throughout my training and professional experience, I have been fortunate to work with clients struggling with a wide range of concerns, with diverse backgrounds, and at various stages of life. I’ve trained and worked in several settings, including community mental health, outpatient clinics on a college campus, general hospitals, inpatient psychiatric units, and private practice. I have extensive training in long-term psychodynamic psychotherapy, acceptance and mindfulness-based approaches, and cognitive behavioral therapy for social anxiety disorder. In addition, I trained for three years in psycho-oncology at Abramson Cancer Center at Pennsylvania Hospital, where I provided psychotherapy to patients and family members affected by cancer and sickle cell disease. These experiences have enriched my understanding of the multiple, intersecting sources of human suffering, as well as the considerable strengths we possess and our potential for healing and growth.
